Resumes & Personal Marketing

"A bad reference is as hard to find as a good employee."

Robert Half

What's your dream job?

When first meeting with a new resume client, we spend a good deal of time getting to know them. It's important that we understand our client's hopes, aspirations, dreams, and disappointments as they relate to the workplace. One of the most valuable skills a professional resume writer can have is the ability to listen - and that's what we do during the first consultation.

And what we most want to know is, "What's your dream job?" Where are you going? What's the plan to reach your eventual goal? To be honest, most of us haven't really thought that through. It's a provocative concept though, isn't it? If you could do anything and get paid for it, what would you choose... why would you choose it?

We put other specialized skills to work when we actually write the resume. In cooperation with our clients, we determine what type of format(s) will showcase them most effectively. Our knowledge of different industries, various job types, appropriate "buzz words" and the current job market all come into play as we create your resume.
